Job Description

The Regional Director of Investment Management Solutions (IMS) helps advisors grow their IMS businesses through coaching, consulting, and education on the advisory platform.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Coach advisors to increase their IMS assets under management, including assisting in client meetings for large cases.

• Consulting: these services focus on professional advice regarding portfolio design, client communications and marketing strategies, in addition to other specific needs identified during the engagement.

• Educate advisors on the defining characteristics and benefits of the IMS platform.

Dimensions/Scope Data:

• Consultants measured against quarterly asset gathering goals in their territories.

• Consultants measured against staying within budget for travel and territory management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task

• Must be able to manage territory including travel schedule and budget

• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Must have a proven record of excellence in a fast-paced environment

• Must have the ability to work effectively independently, as well as in a team environment

• Must have strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications

Minimum Education Required:

• Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus

Licenses/Certifications Required:

• Series 7/66 strongly desired or must be obtained within first 90 days.

• Professional designations like CFP, CIMA, AIF a plus

Minimum Specific Experience Required:

• At least 6 years of financial services industry experience with a background in investment consulting, investment product sales and/or providing financial advice to end clients

• Experience in interacting with financial advisors is a must

Travel: • Estimated % of time required to travel – 75%
